I love blending with our Stampin’ Up! Blending Brushes. You can create so much dimension, softness and color gradient. The Wisteria Wishes bundle is perfect for this technique. I have never been a huge fan of purples, but that changed one day this year and I can’t get enough of Fresh Freesia mixed with a darker purple.
This friendship card is simple and fun. I spent a bit of time blending different purples, pinks and greens on Basic White card stock. No rhyme or reason to where I laid down the color, just created a variation of shades within each family. Then I die cut based on how I wanted the colors to show. If you missed my first card in the Wisteria Wonder series which used pinks, you can find it here.
The leaves on this card are a mix of Mint Macaron and Granny Apple Green and the Wisteria is a mix of Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. I went back and forth on what to use for embellishments and decided the Faux Sea Glass Shapes gave a nice pop of color. You many notice on some of my other projects that I really love to flick markers on my cards. And this one is no different. I think the black gives a nice contrast against the white space and goes nicely with the strip of Basic Black card stock.
I hope you enjoyed this card and that it has inspired you to create either with the Wisteria Wishes bundle or with ink blending. This would also be gorgeous using a watercolor wash background.
There are three more cards to go in this series. I do hope you will stop back by to see them.
